How hyperlinks work and example
To ensure the digital flipbook correctly detects hyperlinks, it's important that your original artwork includes clearly defined, standalone hyperlink elements. This includes telephone numbers, website URLs, and email addresses being created within their own text box as per the examples below.
Ideally the hyperlinks should be added when the artwork is created. If this isn’t possible, the AI and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) system will still attempt to identify them. However, accuracy improves significantly when these elements are presented separately within the artwork.
For example:
✅ Correct: mandy@magmanager.co.uk
where the email address is in a text box of it's own.

❌ Less Effective: Email Mandy on mandy@magmanager.co.uk
where the call to action and the email address are all in one text box.

By formatting key contact details as distinct items, you give the system a better chance of recognizing and linking them correctly.
Hyperlinks - formats:
URL/websites/QR Codes - https://www.magmanager.co.uk/
Email - mailto:mandy@magmanager.co.uk
Telephone - tel:01600717250
YouTube - https:// youtu.be/gurEwD8rGA8
Hyperlinks - how they function:
URL/websites/QR Codes - Will open the website in your defaut web browser
Email - Will open your default email app and populate the To field with the email address.
Telephone - Will open your default call app, ready to call the number.
YouTube - Will open the video ready to play or autoplay depending on the link settings.
TIP: Creating the hyperlinks at the design stage, will reduce the need for manually creating links within MagManager.
