In MagManager,  ‘Actions’ are specific tasks with a due date that you can set for yourself or for your team.

When you use actions you have the option to set up Contact Reasons & Contact Outcomes.  These add additional fields of information to the action.  A reason for contacting the client and once the action is complete an outcome field.  These are set up to suit your own requirements.

Contact Reasons

Contact Reasons might include:

  • Email- Prospect
  • Email- Sales
  • Email- YOUR List
  • Phone- Sales Call
  • Phone- Cold Call
  • Phone- Chase Payment
  • Visit- Get Advert Spec
  • Visit- Take Photos

Note: Each reason will have it's own set of outcomes.

 

Contact Outcomes

Contact Outcomes might include:

  • Booked 1 - In Magazine
  • Booked 2 - Leaflets
  • Booked 3 - Magazine and leaflets
  • Booked 4 - In printing
  • No Booking - Advertise in another mag
  • No Booking - Interested in future issues

Tip: If using contact outcomes add them first

As they will then be available for selection from the outcomes drop-down box when the contact reasons are added.

 

 

How to add Contact Outcomes

Step 1 - Go to the main Settings page.

Step 2 - Under Customers & Actions > Select Contact Outcomes.

Step 3 - Click the green New Outcome button.

Step 4 - The Manage Outcome dialogue box will pop up > Add a name for the Outcome and an optional description.

Step 5 - The Enabled tick box should be checked.

Step 6 - Click Save.

 

How to add Contact Reasons

Step 1 - Go to the main Settings page.

Step 2 - Under Customers & Actions > Select Contact Reasons.

Step 3 - Click the green New Contact Reason button.

Step 4 - The Manage Contact Reason dialogue box will pop up >  By Primary Type select the contact type the new reason will be associated with from the drop-down menu from Email, Phone, Visit, or Other. (Other options may be available if you have added your own contact types).

Step 5 - Add a Name to this new Contact Reason.

Step 6 - Require an Outcome, check this box if you want your users to select an Outcome when marking an action as complete. Or leave blank if not required.

Step 7 - From the Outcomes drop-down menu select which Outcomes you wish to associate with this Contact Reason.

Step 8 - The Enabled tick box should be checked.

Step 9 - Click Save.
