How to change the name of an advert

If you wish to change the way the name of an advert is displayed in MagManager, for example have the advert size appear as Square instead of Sixth of Page.  This can be updated in the internationalise settings.

NOTE: When you rename an advert size using Internationalise, all previous bookings will also be renamed (although the details on any invoices already raised will not change).

Also make sure you have the advert size enabled, if it's not one currently being used - see notes on How to switch on advert sizes.

The steps to change the name of advert

Step 1 - Go to the main Settings page.

Step 2 - Under Settings > Select Internationalise.

Step 3 - Select Content tab.

Step 4 - Enter the new display name of the advert in the second column, eg to rename Sixth of Page to Square, you would enter 'Square' in the text box.

Step 5 - Click Save.

Step 6 - When you make a booking and select New Advert, Square will now appear as the option in the drop-down menu, rather than Sixth Page.

NOTE: The home page calculations are based on the default advert size, so if you change the name to reflect a different size of advert, the home page calculations will be based on the default advert size and not the new name.  This would also affect AutoPublish as the space on the flat plan may be different to your artwork size.

Other renaming examples could include:

  •        Renaming sixth of page “square”
  •        Renaming sixth page banner “front page banner”
  •        Renaming sixteenth page “directory listing”.
