How to add a new issue to a publication

There are 2 ways of adding a new issue to your publication

From The Publications Screen

Click Publications on the top navigation bar > Click the green New Issue button top right of the screen > Click the green Create Issue button under under the corresponding publication and month you want to create new issues for.

From The Publication Settings

Go to Settings > Under Publications & Bookings > Click Publications  > Click the name of any one of your publications.

A list of existing issues will be displayed

Click the green New Issue button top right of the screen > Click the green Create Issue button under the corresponding publication and month you want to create new issues for.

NOTE: MagManager will create your new issue based on the number of pages in the last issue created, not the last issue you sent to your printer.

In the examples above the Indigo October 2025 issue will be created at 40 Pages.

If you require your future issues to be at a higher or lower page count, you should add/remove pages from the September 2025 issue first, then create the October 2025 and any future issues.

How to add an issue for six monthly and annual publications

By default MagManager will display the 'Create Issue' button for issues 3 months ahead of the last issue created.  If you print less frequently than quarterly follow the steps below if the month you require is not visible:

In this example Test Publication's last issue was created for March 2026, it's an annual publication so the next issue is for March 2027.

In order to create a new issue for March 2027 you first need to create an issue for December 2026.  Once December has been created, March 2027 will come into view and you can go ahead and create a new issue for March 2027.

The next step is to delete any issues you do not intend to use, so the December 2026 issue in this example.  You can delete the issue by clicking on the red box displaying the number of pages.

Click OK to confirm you want to delete this issue.
