FAQ: When adding a new client I get a message 'company already exists'

Question:

I can't find a client and when I try to add them as a new client to MagManager, it displays the error message ‘Company Already Exists’.

I've check the all tab of the client screen and can't find a client with that name.

Answer: 

The client has been marked as inactive on the client record.

To access these clients go to the clients screen > select the Inactive tab > then toggle the "Show Inactive" switch across the top to green.

These clients will then show up in the listing with a green tick in the last column headed Inactive.  From here you can click on the client name to open their record.  To turn the client back to active, you will need to turn off the Inactive toggle switch and save the changes.
